Description |
Photographic documentation of painted outdoor projects over a period of time from 1978 to 1994 in New York City on West 16th Street and Bond Street. Demonstrates the fading and disappearance of a variety of oil and acrylic paints on a variety of materials including brick, tar paper, stucco, and concrete. Spiral binding with covers made from roofing felt painted with watercolor and casein "...during rainfall or weathered outdoors, 1994, Tacoma, Washington." Roofing felt covers have intentionally transferred or "weathered" the front and rear transparent fly pages. Contents include "Backyard Walls," "Chimneys," "Skylights," and "Rooftops." Signed copy, self published by the artist, 1994. Book designed by the Traver Company, Seattle, Washington. Other photographs and drawings by Nathan Rabin, Nicholas Hondrogen, and Todd James. |
